Well, I've been lazy today. I need to read a book for class, but it sits by my side as I watch tv. Then I realized I hadn't taken a photo for the day. So, as I sit here I had to think of something. And then it hits me. I have the most adorable kitten on my lap and I have a camera... The kitten likes to lie on my lap and when I move the kitten, she growls, so before she growls, I grabbed a shot of her! Enjoy the adorable little Elizabeth!

This is why there is no photo for the 27th. I had planned on taking a photo during the game, but it got suspended. And I got mad. So no photo. You can enjoy this one (which I did NOT take), while you wait for one from the 28th...

That gray blur you see to the left is me. LOL! If you check out the clock in the back, you will see the time is 1:50 a.m. This is the time the Phillies game ended this morning. We were still hanging in Philly this morning after getting there at 5:30 p.m. Saturday. It was a freakin' long day and we didn't get home until 5:30 a.m. this morning. Slept until about 11:30 a.m. I could sure use some more sleep...

Ok, technically I didn't take this photo. But, it is of me and it is of the most important thing that happened to me on the 25th. I spent ungodly amounts of money of 2 tickets to Game 3 of the World Series in Philadelphia. This is me before the game with the scoreboard in the background.
It was an awesome game! It was rainy and cold. There was a 91 minute rain delay that we waited through. We were all soaked and honestly, it was COLD! The game started at 10:00 p.m, the latest start to a World Series game in history. It went 3 hours and 41 minutes and ended at 1:47 a.m. It was awesome! We won in the bottom of the 9th inning on an error. :-) Love it! We are now up 2-1 in the series. Playing again tonight at 8:35 p.m. Go Phils!

Again, I forgot to take a photo. Oops...I'm sorry...

Heehee! My husband says I'm a 12 year old girl. I think I'm just tech savvy. :-) This is me texting with my friend about the Phils. We're both watching the Phils, though they aren't doing so hot tonight.

I know I'm not the only one out there above the age of 12 that texts! LOL!

OK, this is kinda cheesy, but I don't care! My beloved Phils are in the World Series and tonight was Game 1. I had class tonight and told my prof I was going to leave at break, but he took break early. Which is disheartening. I said I could stay the latest 8:00 p.m. if I wanted to see first pitch. He thought I should be willing to HEAR first pitch, but uh no. The first time the Phils are in the World Series in 15 years? I want to SEE it! At 8:00 p.m., in the middle of class, he says my name and points to his watch. Ahhh...gotta love the prof who gets it!

I made it home in time for the first pitch, by about a minute. LOL! Awesome game! Cole Hamels is awesome, which is exactly what I expected. There's no better pitcher out there right now. Chase Utley, ahhhh Chase, hit a homerun in the first inning. Loved it! And we held on to win 3-2. Happy about tonight, worried already about tomorrow. Let's go Phils!

This is me and my Pooka. I have three kitties (Pooka, Higgy, and Elizabeth), but Pooka's the expensive one. He had bladder stones about 2.5 years ago and required (expensive) surgery. Yes, we had surgery on our kitty. If you knew Pooka, you would too. He also has diabetes. And yes, he gets daily insulin shots. So, Pooka Bear (his nickname) gets a needle with one unit of insulin a day. Poor Pooka.

I took this photo because we were going to the vet. Every three months, we take him to check his sugar levels to make sure his healthy. His weight was down, from 14.2 lbs to 13.14 lbs. Yea Pooka! Weight played a HUGE role in his diagnosis, so having him loose weight is good. He's still on the insulin, but he's healthy and that's all that matters.

First day I forgot to take a photo. Oops. Guess I'll have to add a day at the end to make up for it. Though maybe one day I'll take two photos. Who knows? Sorry!

Does this look like fun? This is me doing homework again. I tend to do a lot of it. I try to have it done by the end of Sunday afternoon, but I have been so busy this weekend that I am just getting to it tonight. I have an 11 page transcription to type up, a 3-5 page paper based on the transcription due on Friday, two books due by Wednesday and who knows due Thursday? This week is HORRIBLE and I had a really freaking busy weekend that didn't help. So, it is Sunday night at 9:56 p.m. and I am working on the transcription.

The transcription for anyone who is interested is:

A true and perfect inventory and just appraisement of all and singular the goods and chattels ------ and credits which were of John R. Kalbach kate if the Township of Heidelberg in the county of Berks and the state of Pennsylvania. Farmer deceased at the time of his death to wit:

This is a dorky picture of me, but it's the best I did yesterday. Yup, didn't get on to post this gem of a picture on the right day. LOL! Oct. 18 was Homecoming at my alma mater. Spent the afternoon eating Oktoberfest food and drinking good Lancaster Brewing Company beer. We had a nice time, though it was a tad chilly. We spent most of the afternoon speaking to one of my hubby's psych profs, then off to check out the bookstore to spend stupid amounts of money on stuff we don't need. It was fun.

The building behind me is the dorm I lived in all four years of college. I lived in that section of the building, just on the other side, for 3.5 years and then at the other end, but facing the street my last semester. I liked this dorm. It was close to where the majority of my classes were, near the cafeteria (at least when I was there, not the caf is on the other side of campus), and easy to get to when people came to visit. It was also an all girl dorm, but there were enough guys in there visiting and staying over that it really didn't seem like a girl's dorm! LOL!

Well, early on I will disavow you on the notion that I dye my hair red. Many people, mostly the people who don't know me, think it's my real hair color. It's not. It's a great dye though. It's by far my favorite.

So, this is me dying my hair. I hate when my normal hair starts showing at the roots, so I HAD to dye it. Especially since we're going to Homecoming at our alma mater and I don't want to look like a dork. So, time to dye the hair! I tend to do it right before "special" events. And since I have Homecoming tomorrow and Sunday I have a baby shower, sooooooo....this is the perfect time to do it.

Don't worry, there should be pics sometime when you'll see the results.

Ok, you don't have to like my feet. I am not too thrilled with them myself. But today's picture is also a rant. LOL! I just bought these knee highs and this is the first time I am wearing them. I don't buy stockings because they run too quickly. So, I buy knee highs and tights. As I was sitting in my small office today (I took these photo's there. Do you like our carpeting?), I realized I had a run in my BRAND NEW KNEE HIGHS. Was I mad! Then I realized I had TWO runs, one on the side and one on the top. Argh! HATE THIS!

I threw the stupid things out when I got home from class. Now I need a new pair of brown knee highs...

On first glance, this seems like a strange picture to have taken. And I'll agree with you. LOL! But I wanted to share with you my favorite shirt and one of my favorite necklaces. I got this shirt from Kohl's and I bought it because it is the most beautiful blue and is sooo soft to wear. I love how it gathers at the button area and it just looks good with my skin coloring (albino). I have a preference for jewel tone clothing and until this fall, it wasn't easy to find. When I find something, I buy it! So, this is my favorite shirt.

The necklace is one of favorite pieces of jewelry. It's a handmade glass flower that I got at a craft fair in town. It's larger than I normally wear, but it's so unique that I HAD to buy it. I love unique jewelry and this qualifies! We bought my SIL something similar from the same crafter. SIL is into wine, so we bought a wine stopper with a beautiful hand-made glass flower on top. I'm a sucker for unusual stuff!

Well, yesterday I was driving to work. Today, I am at work. LOL! This is me writing thank you notes. I am a fund raiser and one of the hallmarks of a good fund raiser is thanking the people who give you money. So, I have been thanking everyone who sent in a donation to our last mail appeal. So far I have written more than 200 letters.

Doesn't my job sound glamorous? :-)

Monday morning. Bleh! This is me driving into work. I drive about 30 minutes south to head into the office. I hate Mondays. Especially when just coming off a 4 day vacation. It was a rough Monday...

Ugh. Not the greatest shot. Didn't realize that until AFTER I uploaded it. Ah well. I like the concept. I was busy in the kitchen today. I made blueberry muffins, an apple-pear pie, and chili. In this photo I am cutting up an apple for the pie. I can't tell you how the pie is as I haven't had any yet. The muffins turned out well. Chili will probably be dinner tomorrow.

And just to keep up with the theme, I have a hat, t-shirt, and sweatshirt with Phillies on it today. :) Game 3 NLCS tonight. Go Phils!

Today's picture is courtesy of my class. I was originally going to take a photo of me IN class this morning, but it didn't work out the way I thought it would. So, this is me reading for another class. The book is "Next" by Michael Crichton. Yup, I had to read a book for class by the author of Jerassic Park and the creator of ER. LOL!

BTW, in case you're interested, the book was good. I'd never read anything by him before. It's about genetics and law. I recommend it. :)

Oh, and to keep with my support (obsession) of the Phils, I'm wearing my NLEast Champs sweatshirt. LOL!

I am still addicted to the Phillies! Love that they won last night. Seriously, how much better does it get for your favorite sports team to win on your birthday when you're there??? The best!

Today, I am watching the Phils in Game 2, so my photo today is me watching the game. LOL! Surprise? This photo took forever to take actually. I couldn't get the angle right to save my life. But I'm pretty happy with it and happy I thought of it to begin with. :-)
